3.Data Collection and Processing

Legal Basis for Data Processing

At Relivo, we ensure that our data processing activities rest on a solid legal foundation. Our operations involving your personal data adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which specifies several legal grounds for data processing. These include:

Types of Personal Data Collected

Relivo collects data to provide a seamless, personalised experience. Types of data include:

Informational Use of the Website

When you visit our website without registering or providing us with information directly, we collect data necessary to display the website and ensure its security. This includes the technical details of your visit, which are processed based on our legitimate interests in providing a secure and efficient website experience.

Contact via Email and Communication

Relivo uses your contact information to respond to inquiries, provide services, and send communications for which you have consented. This includes processing data for newsletters or marketing material, based on your consent or our legitimate interest in promoting our services.

Online Services and User Account Management

We collect personal data when you create a user account, enabling us to provide personalised services and manage your account effectively. This data processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and Relivo.

Photo Uploads and Identity Verification

"To offer personalised photo galleries, we process images and perform identity verification based on your explicit consent. This allows us to provide a curated, personalised experience while respecting your privacy and security."

To enhance your experience with personalised photo galleries, Relivo meticulously processes images and conducts identity verification, all grounded in your explicit consent. This streamlined process ensures the delivery of a bespoke, curated experience that not only elevates your interaction with our platform but also upholds the highest standards of privacy and security. Our commitment extends to safeguarding your personal memories with the utmost care, ensuring a private and secure environment for sharing and reliving your cherished moments.

Participating in events where Relivo has been appointed by the event organizer as the sole media service provider involves the capture of various media types, including photographs and video footage, where participants may be personally identifiable. This capture is conducted under explicit consent obtained from you. For the purpose of enhancing service delivery and ensuring timely provision of your event memories, data processing is carried out prior to the event. However, it's important to note that any biometric information derived from the media captured will be processed in a manner ensuring that it is not linked or connectable to the personal information of any individual. This approach is adopted to maintain the privacy and security of participants while providing a seamless experience of reliving event memories.

This collection serves a dual purpose: fulfilling our role as the designated photo service provider under our contract with the event organizer, and pursuing our economic interest in marketing the event photos to participants through our website. Our extensive experience in event photography assures us that participants are adequately informed of Relivo's role as the exclusive photo service. Moreover, it is a reasonable expectation for participants that photos from the event may be marketed as mementos by the organizer or their partners.

Utilizing advanced algorithms, we can associate multiple photos with an event participant,  enhancing the personalization of your photo gallery.

The processing of photos from events is justified under our legitimate interests as outlined in Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Should you wish to object to this processing, you are empowered to do so as detailed in section named Data Subject Rights of our policy. Rest assured, your data is not disclosed to third parties. We ensure the utmost data protection compliance by exclusively employing photographers who are contractually bound to adhere to the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Our dedication to creating a secure and personalised platform extends to every aspect of our service, including the specialised capture and processing of photos at events. We are committed to delivering a service that respects your privacy, secures your data, and enhances your experience with memorable, personal souvenirs from events you cherish.

In alignment with our commitment to privacy and data protection, personal information specific to an individual collected through media at events will not be accessible to Relivo without explicit permission from the owner of that information. Additionally, the connection of personal information to an individual's biometric data is strictly prohibited without their explicit consent. It is the responsibility of the event organizer to obtain such consent from participants. Relivo will not be liable for any failure on the part of the event organizer to secure this explicit consent. This policy ensures that personal and biometric data are handled with the highest level of privacy and security, respecting the autonomy and rights of all individuals involved.

Use of Personal Data in Newsletters

With your consent, Relivo processes personal data to send newsletters or marketing communications. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, which will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
